Ewang’an in Maa — the language of the Maasai people — means light and happiness. This word is very special to us as it represents the feeling we want every guest to experience and the positive impact we want our work to create.

We are a locally owned safari company in Tanzania founded by Wilson Lengima. Wilson designs authentic wildlife safaris and cultural experiences in Tanzania’s most famous places, including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara.

Wilson was born in a Maasai community near Arusha. As a child and young teenager, he herded cattle near the Ngorongoro Crater. He grew up learning traditional Maasai knowledge from his family and community. Later, he received professional training in tourism and completed university studies. Because of this, he combines traditional wisdom with modern education. This helps us offer safaris that are both culturally meaningful and professionally organized.

We are also committed to supporting local communities. We donate 15% of our proceeds to Return Home (Aang’) Secondary School near Nanja, Tanzania. In Maa, Aang’ means home.
